There is Greatness in You!
We hope you enjoy reading Greatness in You, a lifestyle/leadership workbook currently being presented in two Ethiopian languages by graduates of Trampled Rose. Most of the students we help are either orphans or are separated from their families and their advice. Thus, the need for this collection of “Pearls of Wisdom”. We do believe there is nothing more powerful than a child with a wish.
Students separated into Amharic speaking and Oromifa speaking groups. Trainers moved from group to group. The workshop began at 9:00 and was complete at 3:00 pm. Each student received a package with Greatness in You workbook, a set of colored pencils, an iron pencil sharpener, and a creativity sheet to complete later.
The afternoon session was the “Pearl of Hope”. A powerful panel of graduates from Trampled Rose who are now university students (one medical doctor and three engineers), and the opening, by trainers, of real oysters to find pearls. As we left each other to return to our villages, the atmosphere was full of hope and commitment for a better future. Each student returned home with their own packet and the chance to create whatever came to them. As each student left they were given a hug and a pearl to keep in their pockets to remind them that they are our pearl of great value.
